My PhD thesis received a nomination for the 2015 Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Awards of the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and my Master’s thesis received a honorable mention in the 2011 Award for the Best Thesis and Dissertation of the Brazilian Journalism Researchers Association (SBPJor). I also won a range of awards and prizes during my PhD, Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees, including a Postgraduate Award and a HDR Tuition Award at QUT, and a merit scholarship from the Brazilian Federal Agency for the Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (Capes).
